Silverton Street Market

01 May 2010

Our home village of Silverton holds a Street Market on the first Saturday of August, when the main road through the village is closed and given over to stalls and traders for the day.

Fun and games are held on the Little Rec and all the pubs stay open to refresh visitors from far and wide.  A small entrance fee is charged and profits from the event are used for local organisations – details of the Street Market can be found here.

Exe Valley Brewery helps promote the event by brewing a special beer each year which is sold in pubs around the area to help publicise it; every year has a different theme with the theme for 2010 being musicals –

Hence Exe Valley Brewery are brewing

Rogers & Hammersteined  - a 4.3% golden, hoppy beer.

Available during July and August 2010, do look out for it.
